School History

The Overseas Chinese Association School ( Birmingham) was found in 1965, with only 4 students and 3 volunteer teachers teaching at the Overseas Chinese Association office at the time.

From 1965-1970, our school expanded and has started to rent out classrooms in order to provide free Chinese education. At the time all the teachers and staffs were all volunteers, and the school administration cost was covered by sponsors.

From 1970, as students number increased, we needed more appropriate classrooms at a fix location. Therefore, in the early 1990s, we started to rent JCC (Joseph Chamberlain College) classrooms. From September 2008 due to JCC relocation and not opens for Sundays, we have moved to our current address at Queensbridge School.

學校歷史

本校創立於1965年中，初期僅有四名由香港來的兒童學習中文，屬 「識字班」性質，由兩三位華僑自願義務教學，在當時的華聯社會址上課。

1965-1970年間，學校尚未形成規模租賃地方上課，老師及職員都是義務性質，為孩子們提供免費學習中文的機會，學校經費只靠社會熱心人士捐助。

1970年後，學生人數漸多，需要固定的正式校舍上課，於是在1990年初租用了JCC(Joseph Chamberlain College)校舍。

2008年九月，因JCC校舍改建新大樓後不開放星期曰，本校便遷至目前Queensbridge School 的校址上課，直至今日。
